These seed packets were created to be the context for a series of vector illustrations created in Illustrator. To create the illustrations I started with the outlines of the flowers using the pen tool. Next, I began painting in the illustration using my iPad as a tablet and a custom brush made in Illustrator. To gain the watercolor look I used opacity and blending modes on all of the color.

After completing the illustrations I designed the seed labels and logo. This project was the first time I painted in Illustrator the process taught me a whole new level of what’s possible in Illustrator.
